J. Whit Porter began his Landman career in 1976 buying lignite leases. He was Land Manager for a 35,000 acre lignite lease block in which the project is still operating as an active surface mine today. In the mid 1980’s the transition into other land services occurred when oil and gas, right of way, and other land functions were taken on. A decade later, J.W. Porter & Associates, L.L.C. was formed and began to grow.
Today, J.W. Porter & Associates, L.L.C has a staff of over 25 with our main office located in Shreveport, Louisiana and additional offices located in Texarkana and Little Rock, Arkansas.
J.W. Porter & Associates, L.L.C. has experienced personnel in many areas of land services performing contract work in both public and private sectors. We offer oil and gas leasing, forestry consulting, pipeline services, acquisition and relocation assistance, utility and telecommunication services, property management, and title services.
